I’m understanding how the long term effects that the ingredients in products I use on a daily basis are more harmful than ever these days… ugh! SOOO I’ve found a deodorant recipe that I wanted to try ~ did ~ LOVE!!! Give it a try yourself… remember; it is a DEODORANT, not an antiperspirant. It stops the ‘stink’ VERY well and will take a little time for your body to adjust ~ just be patient, it’s worth it! 🙂
Coconut Oil Deodorant
…free from unwanted and unhealthy chemicals!!!
What to DO –>
4-5 tablespoons coconut oil
2 tablespoons baking soda** and 2 tablespoons arrowroot powder
4 tablespoons organic cornstarch
5-6 drops of essential oil, such as tea tree oil, lavender, or lemon grass ~ your favorite!
Mix dry ingredients, add coconut oil and mix (will need to ‘smash’ with the back of a tablespoon for best results) until all is combined. Add oil(s) and mix til incorporated well. Store in a jar with a lid in a cool, dry place. Rub a small amount under arms as usual.
**Baking soda may be a skin irritant to some people. This usually goes away in a few days as the body get used to the natural ingredients**
